Updated: Jun 5

In this post, we go over some tips that players should know when they start playing Epic Seven Arena.

Navigations

  1. Concentrate on building a Wyvern 11-13 Team and a Farmer

  2. Craft some Speed boots

  3. Know Elemental Advantage and Disadvantage

  4. Know How AI works

  5. Speed Imprints can help!

  6. Identify Heroes that you cannot deal with and come up with a solution

1. Concentrate on building a Wyvern 11-13 Team and a Farmer

In Bronze to Silver Arena level, it is really about level of the Heroes and Equipment. So just because we focus on PVE like Wyvern Hunt and Farmer, it should not derail player's Arena progression.

We do not want to start focusing on building Arena team too soon because it could significantly slow down our PVE progression.

Its better to gain access to great gears as soon as possible than to build a bunch of heroes with early game gears. Learn how to build Wyvern Hunt Team here

Check out our Progression Guide here for more information.

2. Craft some Speed boots

In the beginning, simply having a +15 item level 85 Speed main stat boot will allow your hero to be the fastest in a match. It is also very useful for PVE contents.

When we gain access to Wyvern Hunt 11 + and Abyss Drake Claw, make sure you spend some crafting Speed Main Stat Boots.

Also players can use conversion. We recommend Converting for Speed Set, Speed Main Stat Boots.

3. Know Elemental Advantage and Disadvantage

Elemental Advantage will allow your hero to gain +15% Critical Hit Chance. If they are at Elemental Disadvantage, they have a chance to miss their attacks. It also helps with manipulating the AI, which we will go over in the next portion

4. Know How AI works

Even though we often call Arena a PVP, it is actually just players setting up a NPC Team. Everything is controlled by AI and AI has a set of rule they always follow. Figure out the rules and you will be able to win a lot.

Some common rules are:

1. AI almost always targets heroes with elemental disadvantage. For example Cidd (Grass Element) will always target an Ice Element.

2. AI always uses certain skills on the first turn and continues the same pattern as cool down goes. For example, AI Rose will always use her S3 CR Push first.

Knowing how AI works also helps players decide what to put on Arena and Guild War Defenses.

5. Speed Imprints can help!

Heroes like Cidd, Roozid, Helga, and etc have speed imprints. This means that just by having them on the team, your whole team will gain +X speed. This can help you outspeed a lot of Arena Defense that relies on having a speedy opener. One good example is F. Lidica defense teams.

This is especially important if you are running a Cleave team because you need your CR pusher to move first at all cost.

6. Identify Heroes that you cannot deal with and come up with a solution

This will require players to do some trial and error. Just do not keep making the same mistakes over and over again. Remember you can refresh the matchups if all the matchups are with heroes you cannot deal with.
